Those of us who have unfulfilled desires are often driven to torment over our needs. These desires have driven people even to the brink of insanity-or worse.
SPREAD, EAGER DAUGHTER is the story of a girl and her family who are forced by their desires to come to grips with turbulent emotions. What happens to them when they confront these emotions reveals their ability to be honest with themselves and to be unafraid of their own inner feelings.
“I hate the idea of her marrying that creep!” Dusty growled.
“Dusty!” Jennifer cried, but she had to admit that she felt the same way. In fact, the entire Walsh family, everyone but Lisa herself, seemed to feel that Jeff was all wrong for her.
“C’mon, Mom, you don’t like Jeff any more than the rest of us do!”
“I know, but what can we do?” Jenny sighed. “The fact that Jeff is your second cousin doesn’t have anything to do with why you and Lew don’t like him, does it, Dusty?”
“Are you kidding?” Dusty laughed. “How can you say that? Naw, I don’t care anything about him being our cousin. I just don’t like him, that’s all! No one does. No one but Lisa, that is,” he finished drily.
