Susanne Taylor was glancing through the help-wanted ads in the morning newspaper, wondering if there were any interesting offers. Susanne didn’t really need a job because she could live well enough on the alimony from her ex-husband, and there were always plenty of men eager to wine and dine her. But she thought that a pan-time job might be a good idea. She hadn’t gotten dressed yet and was wearing a flowered dressing gown. Her deep cleavage showed at the top and her long, shapely thighs were exposed, but there was no one there to admire her—except her doggy.
Rex, the big German shepherd, was curled up by her feet. As she read the paper, Susanne idly rubbed her toes against his jowls. She had bought the dog just after her divorce, for companionship, and because Susanne had always had a thing about animals.
The dog raised his head and cocked an ear.
