Who can judge a person’s reactions during stress situations? The prisoners of war who give in to their captors’ demands, the kidnaped heiress who joins forces with her abductors-both must act without past experience to guide them. Both must make decisions in a vacuum, without benefit of familiar people or situations to guide them. The result can be either a very negative or a positive experience.

In VIRGIN IN CHAINS, Kristine Jenner finds herself the victim in a strange abduction. The proverbial teenage tease, Kristine confidently invites a strange man into her home while her parents are away on vacation, thinking to tease him, then turn him out. To her horror, the stranger turns the tables on her, tying her up, forcibly taking her virginity, subjecting her to all sorts of sexual indignities. Yet, in Kristine’s case, the experience turns out to be a positive one, for it forces her to see the error of her ways and to become more mature.

VIRGIN IN CHAINS-the story of a young girl who learns a lesson as a result of adversity.

My folks didn’t really go for me hanging around with Kristine so much. But I’d made vice president of my junior class and the girl’s track team and had a part in my Junior-Senior Play. So they couldn’t say much. With it getting close to the end of the school year my grades were right up there with the best of them. Since my dad taught at the local junior college, that pleased him. So when Kristine wanted me to do something with her, I ignored the looks my folks gave me. Couldn’t a sixteen-year old girl make up her own mind when it came to who her friends were?

Kristine was so much more fun than the crowd Mom and Dad urged me to run around with. There’s nothing more boring than going out with the president of the student council and listen to him talk about getting a new jukebox for the school lounge or such stuff like that. Not that Kristine was wilder than the other kids in my class. She was just different.
