For many, the desire to succeed in one’s chosen field often becomes an obsession. And, frequently, a pawn with this obsession to succeed will allow himself to be degraded — spiritually, if not physically — for the sake of this all-important goal. Indeed, the individual’s norm may change drastically — and often for the worse.
This is the story of a secretary who’s willing to do anything in order to get ahead. She allows herself to be shamed and degraded by her superiors, to be passed around at various office parties. Then she finds she is just as willing to use as to be used. Her sense of right and wrong is totally discarded in the interest of pragmatism.
But is she to be blamed? Or has she simply fallen victim to a way of thinking which seems to permeate our society?
SECRETARY IN HEAT — a work of fiction for entertainment, but also a statement on the changing mores of our modem society.
