Most of us lead two lives—real and fantasy. The housewife imagines herself leading a life of luxury, surrounded by jewels and furs. The businessman imagines himself away from the rat race, fishing or painting by a quiet lake. The schoolboy dreams of someday having wealth and power. And then there are sexual fantasies—wild dreams that we seldom expect to come true.
Is it best to suppress our desires and fantasies, or to bring them out into the open and act upon them? Does their repression lead to sickness or their fulfillment bring shame? No one has yet been able to answer these questions satisfactorily.
The woman in this story has her own sexual fantasies. She tries to repress her desires, but eventually must face them and act upon them. Morals are cast aside in her quest for fulfillment.
TURNED ON TEACHER deals with the sexual dilemmas that face us all. We cannot pass judgment on this woman’s solutions. We can only look at them with an open mind, recognizing the emotions and problems common to us all.
“Forty years old and still a virgin?” Dr. Carlson exclaimed. “My goodness, Amy, don’t you think you ought to do something about that?”
Amy Lewis blushed. For years only old Doc Withers had known her embarrassing secret, but his new successor, Dr. Carlson, had spotted the signs right away. Of course it wasn’t difficult for him to see. Amy lay on her back on the examining table, her legs spread, her feet in the stirrups. And Dr. Carlson was staring right between her legs.
“I-I’d rather not discuss that if you don’t mind, doctor,” Amy stammered.
“Very well,” Carlson said smoothly. “You can get dressed now, Amy.”
Amy breathed a sigh of relief. She hated these annual examinations, though she knew they were a good idea. She hated exposing her most intimate parts to a man’s eyes. In fact no man had ever seen her naked except for old Doc Withers, and now his replacement, Carlson. Fortunately Carlson was a professional and wouldn’t react to her like an ordinary man would.
Or so Amy thought.
