In BOY-HUNGRY TEACHER, the women in this story are women of the present. Living lives of existential hedonists, they refuse to worry about tomorrow. Their main concern is for today, and the pleasures it brings. For them, sex is merely something to be enjoyed, carrying neither emotional ties nor moral overtones.
BOY-HUNGRY TEACHER—the story of young women who embody the lifestyle of many in our society, a presentiment of what the future holds. Their story holds a lesson for us all.
Miss Jane Evans, an unmarried schoolteacher of thirty-five, had just had the shock of her life. Leaving school one day, she passed the window of the classroom where her friend Polly Jones taught and happened to glance in. What Jane saw made her stop still, turn pale, and smother a gasp. Polly was fucking a student.
Jane decided it couldn’t be true, that her eyes had deceived her. She moved closer to the window and peered inside. Polly was hungrily kissing a student named Kyle. There was no mistaking it. They were running their hands over each other’s body, working their tongues deep in each other’s mouth. As Jane watched, they broke the kiss, and Kyle began unbuttoning Polly’s blouse. Polly grinned and didn’t try to stop him.
“My God, I can’t believe this,” Jane muttered.
Polly, a petite red-haired divorcee of thirty, was Jane’s best friend, and Jane had always admired her common sense. Yet here she was risking her whole career and reputation just to have sex. Jane wrinkled her nose in disgust. She personally had no use for men and sex, and she found the subject immoral and dirty. Polly must be out of her mind to do such a thing. Why, she was actually leering at Kyle as he unbuttoned her blouse.
