Penny nearly jumped out of her skin. She crossed her legs and sat back on the couch, turning her attention to her uncle Mark who sat across from her. He was soothing down his long black hair with one hand while absently turning the pages of a sports magazine with the other.
“It’s the new minister,” Penny said in a surprisingly controlled voice. She thought something in the tone would make her uncle suspicious. “Sometimes he keeps them there pretty late.”
