Maybe she wouldn’t put so much Scotch in it this time. Her daughter would be coming home soon from that party. There would be another confrontation. They were always having confrontations, she and Nancy. It wasn’t that way in the past. Only in the last few years had she noticed a wall building between them, a wall she couldn’t scale.
Donna felt overwhelmed by problems. After her husband Jeff had walked out three years ago, the attractive blonde felt her world falling to pieces. Thank God, for a large bank account she had managed to wrestle away from her philandering husband. It had kept her and Nancy alive until that sonofabitch was killed in a car crash with his blowsy whore.
