Although Americans appear to the rest of the world as frank and open people, the truth is often the opposite when it comes to relating on an individual basis. This is particularly true regarding sexual matters.
The fact is, Americans are only now beginning to learn to discuss sex and sexuality with candor, and usually that is within the limits of marital sex.
While no one is advocating sex as the main topic of conversation, and while sexual privacy is very important, many adults harbor fears about themselves and their sexual behavior that could be erased if they were more aware of other people’s behavior. Most of us have been brought up to be at least slightly ashamed of anything sexual, and it is frequently reassuring to discover that we are not different, naughty, or even perverted in our sex practices. In discussing sex with others, people find out how truly normal they are.
Laura Palmer, a frustrated married school-teacher, makes this discovery with the aid of her sexually liberated students. In reading her story, the reader, too, might discover something about himself.
A story about men and women much like you and I, who are struggling toward sexual maturity.
Laura Palmer, a high school English teacher, was sitting in her living room correcting papers. Her husband, Brent, had fallen asleep in his favorite chair while watching television. When she finished the last of the test papers, she set them aside and removed her reading glasses.
Laura was a very attractive woman in her early thirties with blue eyes and short brown hair. She had an exceptionally good figure with slim legs, a narrow waist and round full tits. From the way the male students watched her, Laura knew she was damned well stacked. Looking across the room at her sleeping husband, she wished that he would look at her like Don Olsen did. Whenever she turned around in class, Don Olsen, captain of Jefferson High School’s football team, was always watching her. She recognized the warm yearning in the young man’s eyes, and it often made her feel uncomfortable.
It had been a long time since she had seen a yearning expression in her husband’s eyes. He had always been so ardent and passionate until about four years ago, shortly after their little daughter was born. As the years slipped away, he became more and more content to sleep or watch television.
