BARNYARD WIFE deals with a sexual dilemma that confronts us all, in one form or another. We cannot pass judgment on this young woman’s solution. We can only look at her actions with an open mind, seeing how one member of society faces her problem.
Kenny’s pale face showed a mixture of dread and hatred as he was introduced to his beautiful new stepmother.
“Say hello to your new ma, boy,” Jim prompted nervously as Kenny just stood there, his eyes down and his large hands shaking.
Kenny obediently looked up and stammered, “Howdy do, ma’am.” His hostile eyes could no longer turn away. They were caught by the sight of Lolly’s smooth white skin and corn-yellow hair. Her face looked like fresh milk with peaches. It was so pretty. He’d never seen a sight like that. Even his pretty young teacher couldn’t match the sight of this girl. His new mother smiled pearly teeth at him, and Kenny felt weak in his knees.
Lolly grabbed Kenny’s trembling hand and stared into his eyes with her own bright-blue ones. “We’re going to be good friends, Kenny. You don’t have to call me Ma unless you want to. My name’s Lolly.”
